Medication Utilization Review
In addition to reviewing medication therapy on an individual resident basis we also evaluate facility or health system wide utilization trends and compare to established standards. Our consultant pharmacists are active participants in long term care quality improvement initiatives. Our expertise in medication management enables us to assist each facility in establishing utilization and treatment goals based in clinical evidence. Through interaction with physicians, nurses, patients, and their families our consultant pharmacists recommend ways to help meet those goals. We track numerous utilzation trends on an ongoing basis and report our findings to each facility we service.
