About Us

David Cousino founded MedAdvice LLC in early 2001 to provide superior consultant pharmacist services to long term care facilities in northeast Ohio. Over the next ten years MedAdvice grew to service pharmacies, long term care facilities, and assisted living facilities throughout Ohio and Western Pennsylvania. We have added some extremely talented and capable consultant pharmacists since those early days and are now poised to expand our services across the country. Establishing consultantpharmacist.com in early 2012 represents our ongoing commitment to the future of this profession. MedAdvice will remain the driving force behind consultantpharmacist.com to ensure we maintain high quality and satisfaction as we expand our service.

After being honorably discharged from the United States Air Force, David attended the University of Toledo College of Pharmacy. His experience included internships at a large long term care pharmacy in Northwest Ohio as well as The Medical College of Ohio in Toledo. After Clerkship experience with a nursing home consulting practice he graduated in 1995. David continued to develop his patient care skills at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Cleveland Ohio and then fulfilled dispensing and consulting responsibilities at a long term care pharmacy in Bay Village Ohio. Mr. Cousino earned his certificate in geriatric pharmacy care in 1999 (CGP) and has been an active member of The American Society of Consultant Pharmacists since 1997.

David founded MedAdvice in 2001 in an effort to apply his patient-centered approach to geriatrics to long term care residents across the state. MedAdvice has grown since those early days and in early 2012 Mr. Cousino launched ConsultantPharmacist.com in an effort to further expand the patient centered philosophy of geriatric care.

David attended The University of Toledo College of Pharmacy in Ohio and graduated magna cum laude in 1995. He advanced his clinical and business skills in the following years at Community Health Partners in Lorain Ohio as well Lakewood Hospital in Lakewood Ohio. David obtained his Masters Degree in Business Administration in 2003 once again distinguishing himself magna cum laude upon graduation. Mr. Hicov joined the MedAdvice team in 2004 and has been caring for seniors residing in the nursing home and assisted living setting ever since.

Joel graduated in 1995 from The University of Toledo College of Pharmacy. He dedicated himself to helping maximize his patients' drug therapy at Medic Drug in Bay Village Ohio. He advanced his management skills while at Medic and became part of the management team during his tenure. Joel joined MedAdvice in 2003 to showcase his clinical skills and he has been caring for the seniors residing in the nursing home and assisted living setting ever since. Joel is currently pursuing his certification in geriatric pharmacy (CGP).
